Explore how 弥生時代の歴史 解説 shaped ancient Japan. 【Yayoi Period】 The Yayoi period is the name given to the period from the 10th century BC to the middle of the 3rd century AD. After the Jomon period with its collecting economy, the Yayoi period was an era of a productive economy based mainly on rice farming. The name "Yayoi" comes from the discovery of earthenware found in a shell mound in Yayoi, Bunkyo-ku, present-day Tokyo, in 1884, which came to be known as the Yayoi earthenware. Later, it was discovered that the Yayoi period pottery was accompanied by rice, or paddy rice farming technology system. New technologies and cultures such as paddy rice cultivation, metal utensils, and textiles were introduced from the Chinese continent and the Korean peninsula, and the lifestyle of food, clothing, and shelter changed from the hunting and gathering Jomon period. This led to the idea that the Yayoi period was an agrarian society based on food production through paddy rice farming, and that it should be distinguished from Jomon period (a hunter-gatherer society) in this respect. In addition, people began to convert lowlands and wetlands into rice paddies and to build high-floor warehouses in addition to pit houses for housing in order to grow rice. People's lifestyles changed drastically around this time. Since rice cultivation required water-drawing techniques and group work, a leader to govern the group became necessary. This person governed and ruled the village. As a result, moat encircling settlements were formed, surrounded by fences and moats. Powerful villages expanded their power by subjugating the surrounding villages, and small countries began to form. 弥生時代は、紀元前10世紀頃から、紀元後3世紀中頃までにあたる時代の名称である。採集経済の縄文時代の後、水稲農耕を主とした時代である。「弥生」という名称は、1884年に東京都文京区弥生の貝塚で発見された土器が発見されたことから弥生式土器と呼ばれるようになった。 後々、弥生時代の土器には米、あるいは水稲農耕技術体系が伴うことが判明。中国大陸や朝鮮半島から水田稲作や金属器や織物など、新しい技術や文化がもたらされ、衣食住の生活も狩猟採集の縄文時代から変化した。弥生時代とは、農業による食料生産に基礎を置く農耕社会であって、縄文時代（狩猟採集社会）とはこの点で区別されるべきだとする考え方に至るようになった。 また、人々は、低地や湿地を水田に変え、もみをたくわえるため、住まいとしての竪穴住居とは別に高床の倉庫を建てるようになり、住まいも変化した。人々の生活様式はこのころから一変した。 稲作は、水を引く技術や集団作業が必要だったので、集団を統治するリーダ－が必要となった。この者がムラをおさめました。また、貧富の差が生まれ、土地や水をめぐる争いがおこり、柵や濠で囲まれた集落が生まれた。有力な村は周りの村を従えて勢力を広げ、小さな国ができるようになった。 やよいじだい は、 きげんぜん 10 せいきごろ から、 きぜんぜん 3 せいきなかごろ までにあたる じだい の めいしょう である。 さいしゅうけいざい の じょうもんじだい の あと 、 すいとうのうこう を しゅ とした じだい である。「 やよい 」という めいしょう は、1884 ねん に とうきょうとうぶんきょうくやよい の かいづか で はっけん された どき が はっけん されたことから やよいしきどき と よばれる ようになった。 のちのち、 やよいじだい の どき には こめ 、あるいは すいとうのうこうぎじゅつたいけい が ともなう ことが はんめい 。 ちゅうごくたいりく や ちょうせんはんとう から すいでんこうさく や きんぞくき や おりもの など、 あたらしいぎじゅつ がもたらされ、 いしょくじゅう の せいかつ も しゅりょうさいしゅう の じょうもんじだい から へんか した。 やよいじだい とは、 のうぎょう による しょくりょうせいさん に きそ を おくのうこうしゃかい であって、 じょうもんじだい （ しゅりょうさいしゅうしゃかい ）とはこの てん で くべつ されるべきだとする かんがえかた に いたる ようになった。 また、 ひとびと は、 ていち や しっち を すいでん に かえ 、もみをたくわえるため、 すまい としての たてあなじゅうきょ とは べつ に たかゆか の そうこ を たてる ようになり、 すまい も へんか した。 ひとびと の せいかつようしき はこのころから いっぺん した。 いなさく は、 みず を ひくきじゅつ や しゅうだんさぎょう が ひつよう だったので、 しゅうだん を とうち する り-だ- がひ つよう となった。この もの が むら をおさめました。また、 ひんぷ の さ が うまれ 、 とち や みず をめぐる あらそい がおこり、 さく や ほり で かこま れた しゅうらく が うまれ た。 ゆうりょく な むら は まわり の むら を したがえてせいりょく を ひろげ 、 ちいさなくに ができるようになった。 Sakitama　Kofun From Saitama Pref. 埼玉県　さきたま古墳より ContentsTop History Top アンカー 1
